Jack Hobby


John William Hobby, III was the son of John W. and Margaret Spurgeon Hobby, Jr. He passed away on February 18, 2005 at Hill Regional Hospital. Jack grew up in Colorado and worked on a ranch and sawmill and owned a service station. He moved to Texas in the mid 1980's and married Lucy Young on September 1, 1981. For the last ten years he has worked for Bobcat Contracting. Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Jo Ann Haines, Shirley Wolf; brothers, Larry Hobby, David Hobby; son, Robert Secora; grandson, Justin Yellico and nephew, Darrell Hardin. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Hobby of Hillsboro; children, Jack Dewayne Hobby of CO, Mary Lorraine Fetty of CO, John Secora of CO, Rhonda Henry of Justin, Stacey Yellico of Terrell; brother, Richard Hobby of AZ; sisters, Peggy Hardin and husband, Frank of Wetmore, CO, Linda Degrado of Pueblo, CO, Darlene Cassey of Pueblo, CO;4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hillsboro Public Library, 118 South Waco St., Hillsboro, TX 76645
