Jack Ingram passed away Wednesday morning 9/11/19 at the age of 77. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the First Church of The Nazarene, Whitney. Officiants will be the Rev. Greg Johnson and Brad Slayton. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory.
Jack was born in Lubbock, Texas to Bill Jack Ingram and Ruth Ingram. He had deep roots in Whitney, Texas where his parents where active in business and in the First Church of the Nazarene.
Jack leaves his wife of 22 years, Connie Wardlow Ingram. Jack is survived by his daughters Julie Ingram Ayoubi and Darlissa Neal, his granddaughters Caroline, Amanda, and Emily, and his sister-in-law Elaine Ingram. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces Brandon, Justin, Jay, Kelly, Melissa, Kaylynn. Jack leaves behind many lifelong friends and neighbors who he loved like family.
Jack was educated at The University of North Texas and had a career that including cotton farming, cattle ranching, home building, and owning a concrete company. He was a devoted family man and he, Connie, and his sister-in-law, Elaine, took care of his youngest brother Dale for many years. Jack raised his daughter Julie in Houston and Dallas. Jack married Connie in 1997 and later in life they settled in Whitney where they continued ranching. He was an excellent cook and showed his love by preparing wonderful meals for family and friends. Jack will be remembered for his sense of humor, for mentoring his granddaughters and other young people, and for his ability to make friends wherever he went. Most of all Jack will be remembered for taking care of those he loved. He will be missed by all of them.
Memorials may be made in Jack’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
