Jack was the son of Henry C. and Nettie Mandrell Perkins. He was one of eleven children and graduated from Frost High School. Jack retired after 14 years in the maintenance department with Hubbard ISD. He was also a farmer and loved country music and playing the guitar. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents; 2 brothers, J. B. and Leonard, and 3 sisters, Opal Harrison, Ruth Miller and Martha Jo Donaldson. Survivors include: Wife, Ruby L. Zettler of Hubbard, 3 brothers, Lonnie Perkins of Red Oak, George Perkins of Hillsboro, and Jerald Perkins of Killeen, 2 sisters, Louise Pohl of Corsicana and Gail Christie of Corsicana, a special foster son, Terry Neal, and a number of nieces and nephews.
