Jack Shadle


Jack was the son of John E. and Sarah A. Mitchell Shadle. He grew up in Pennsylvania and served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Army Air Corp. On May 20, 1949, he married Dorothy Heckman. Jack worked for Keasbey-Mattison, which later became Certain-Teed, and he was transferred to Hillsboro in 1961. After that time, he continued to live in Hillsboro until a year ago when he moved to Sugar Land. He was a member of the American Legion Post #4, had served as a scout leader, and was an officer of the Hillsboro Band Boosters. Jack was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Preceding him in death were his parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Shadle of Sugar Land; son, John Shadle and wife Sheila of Sugar Land; daughter, Patricia Miller and husband Paul of Germantown, TN; sister, Gladys Klingelhoeffer of Lansdale, PA; grandchildren, April Tremor and husband Justin, Stacey Johnson and husband Tommy, Kelly Shadle, Jonathan Shadle, and Cody VanGossen and wife Edith; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Meacham and Katherine Meacham. Memorials may be made to: Christ Lutheran Church 915 Corsicana Hwy. Hillsboro, TX 76645
