Jackie Aaron Fulenwider was born November 25, 1946, to Joseph Aron and Ocie Jane (Hawkins) Fulenwider in Amherst, Texas. His parents divorced when he was a small child and he went to live with his grandparents in Olten, Texas. Oscar and Ellen Fulenwider took over raising him while his father was in the Navy. Joseph came home from the Korean War and took Jackie and his brother, Jimmy to Cleburne, Texas. Jackie was with his dad and stepmother as they moved to Alvarado where he lived most of his school years, before going to Littlefield, Texas, and graduating from Spade High School in 1965.
In 1965 he went back to Alvarado. He was a spoiled, wild guy when he met Micki Ann Davis. On December 18, 1965, he caught her under the Mistletoe. He was dating a steady girlfriend and Micki was dating her best friend's brother. Jackie was met with a "Dear Jackie" letter while in Vietnam and Micki had broken up with her boyfriend! They started writing letters to each other. He loved to say they dated by mail. Jackie returned home on June 17, 1968. Nine days later they were engaged. So, they only dated for 33 days until they married, on July 20, 1968. Their son, Gary was born 9 months and 3 days later. Their son, Thomas, followed 3 yrs and 8 days later. Nothing was slow from then on. He was a good husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Through all the peaks and valleys Jackie and Micki stood together. They raised two wonderful sons and loved everyone they met. Jackie has more adopted kids than you can count. One memory that stands out was that "all his kids" would find him at the games, football, basketball and track to ask "Dad, do we have any money?", he always made sure he did.
Proceeded in death by his grandparents: Oscar and Ellen Fulenwider, Parents: Joseph and Ocie Jane (Hawkins) Fulenwider, Brother: Jimmy Fulenwider, Mother-in-law: Annie Stephens, oldest Son: Gary and special Nephew: Darrell Trotter.
Survived by his constant companion for 56 years, Mick Ann Fulenwider, his favorite younger Son, Thomas, grandchildren: Kristen (Caleb) Stover, Taryn (Zach) Vaughn, Hannah Barrett, Tanyon Fulenwider, Travis Fulenwider, Cierrah Fulenwider and Mickinzie Fulenwider, great grandchildren: Jonathan, Audrey and Elowen Stover, Lila Barrett and Willow Vaughn. Sister, Cathy (Gary) Armes, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
