Jacquline Marie Green

Jacquline M. Green (Jackie) of Hillsboro, Texas, gained her angel wings on Saturday, December 16, 2023, in Burleson, Texas, surrounded by her son, Joshua S. Green and his wife, Daisy Green. Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00, Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro, Texas.

Jackie was born February 26, 1963, in Hillsboro, Texas, to Jim Green, Jr. and Letha “Tiny” Johnson Green. She was a dedicated and compassionate individual whose life was marked by a commitment to service and a deep love for her family.

She was a proud graduate of Hillsboro High School class of 1981 and a distinguished member of the National Honor Society. Jackie pursued her passion for nursing, earning an associate degree in nursing from Hill College in Hillsboro in 1983 and later achieving her Registered Nurse Degree from McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas in 1986.

Throughout her nursing career, Jackie demonstrated exceptional care and dedication to her patients. She started at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro as a nurse and later served as a Shift Coordinator for the Cardiac Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital in College Station, Texas. She then returned to Hill Regional Hospital as a case manager.

One of the most significant joys of Jackie’s life was the birth of her beloved son, Joshua Stephen Green. She cherished her role as a mother and found immense joy in supporting Joshua as he grew into the wonderful person he is today. She lived to make sure Joshua was happy in life.

Jackie had a love for a large cup of ice and a cold Diet Dr Pepper. Anyone who was around her would have brought her some at some point in life. She also enjoyed going on cruises and seeing the world.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jim Green, Jr.; her mother, Letha Green; her brother, William Green; and her niece, Lauren Watts. Jackie is survived by her loving son, Joshua Green and wife, Daisy Green, along with their family Moises, Noveli, Daniel, and Alexis De La Pena Hernandez; her brother, James and wife, Kristi Green and their children, Justin Green and spouse, Amy Zapata and spouse, Devon Steel and spouse, Dana Sue Behringer; sister Donna and Stephen Watts and their children, Christopher and Natalie Watts; sister Mary Green and her daughter, Madison Green; niece Brandi Green; nephew, Presley; and niece Jennifer Choi and spouse, Melinda Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jackie’s family would like to express their gratitude to her nursing care team, Karen Austin and Tish, who provided unwavering support and care over the past three years.

Beyond her professional achievements, Jackie found immense fulfillment in being a mother to Joshua. She had a generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to others, whether they were patients or family and friends. Her love extended to the kitchen, where she delighted in cooking for her family, and to the heart of the family gatherings, where she enjoyed playing spades.

Jackie’s memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave during her time with us.
