Jake Harris

James Cleo Jake Harris, Jr. of Whitney and formerly of Alvarado passed away in Whitney on February 11, 2008. He was the son of James and Edna Miller Harris. He grew up in West Texas and lived in Alvarado several years before moving to Whitney. He married Laura Key and she preceded him in death. Jake liked to play 42. He was of the Baptist faith. He was also preceded him by his parents and brother, Jimmy Dean Harris. Survivors include his brothers, Bobby Joe Harris and Donnie Jack Harris both of Alvarado; sisters, Sheila Fisher and Brenda Sue Eubanks both of Whitney, Wanda Lee Jennings of Alvarado; several nieces and nephews
