James Jim Olen Ford, 81, of Hillsboro died Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Itasca Long Term Care. Jim was born December 5, 1928 in the Aquilla area at home to parents, J. D. And Teni Chapel Ford. He lived in Hill County all of his life. He attended Cameron University in Lawton, OK and graduated from Baylor University. Jim was a veteran who served in the special armed forces and as a paratrooper during the Korean War and later in the Army Reserve. As a Hillsboro business owner, he was involved in the community serving on several non-profit organization board of directors and served in several clubs. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Survivors include three daughters, Mollie and Mary Ford of Waco and Megan Ford of Hillsboro; two brothers, Charles and J. D. Ford; and several nieces and nephews. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro Building Fund or Christian School, P. O. Box 271, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
