James Helms

James Robert Helms, 47, of Malone passed away Monday, November 24, 2014, near Bynum. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 28, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. Gary Hall officiating.

Born April 29, 1967 in Fort Worth, he was the son of Jim T. and Laqueta (Sheffield) Helms. James enjoyed going to the casinos, talking politics (which he was very passionate about), listening to all types of music, and was an avid animal lover. His children were his world.

Survivors include his father, Jim T. Helms of Malone; mother, Laqueta Helms of Malone; two children, Timothy Charles Helms and Paige Nicole Helms, both of Malone; brother, Thomas Helms of Hillsboro; two sisters, Lisa Parks of Malone and Karen Hall and husband, David, of Grapevine; niece and nephews, Taylor Alexander of Austin and Garrett and Grant Hall, both of Grapevine; and his faithful pet companion, Honey.
