James Lacour

James Keith LaCour, 49, of Hillsboro passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Emerald Village in Hillsboro. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Pastor Mike McReynolds officiating.

James was born October 19, 1967 in Arlington to Darlene (Darden) and Joe A. LaCour, Jr. He grew up in Arlington and graduated from Sam Houston High School. In 1996 he moved to Hillsboro. For 8 years, he was employed at Oakwood Manufacturing. He also worked for the City of Hillsboro in maintenance at the water treatment plant for two years. In his spare time, James played guitar and drums with several bands. Later in life, he enjoyed investing in stocks. He attended Church on The Hill in Hillsboro.

Preceding him in death were his father; grandparents, Margaret and Joe LaCour, Sr.; and grandfather, William C. Darden.

Survivors include his mother, Darlene LaCour of Hillsboro; grandmother, Colleen Darden of Arlington; uncles and aunts, William Dennis and Nelda Darden of Burleson, Glenda Gail Eubank of Grand Prairie, Jerry and Brenda LaCour of Hillsboro, and Darrell and VoVo LaCour of Red Oak; and numerous cousins.
