James Everett McDonald, 88, of Waco passed away on May 17, 2006 at his residence. He was the son of James Emmett and Ida Jones McDonald. Mr. McDonald lived in Angleton for 28 years where he was employed for many years by Dow Chemical working in the Tank Car Department, until early retirement, when he and his wife opened and operated their own local hamburger business in downtown Angleton for many years. After retiring from this business they moved to Bryan, Texas where they lived for 10 years, and finally moved back to Whitney, Texas where they grew up. He has lived in Waco, Texas for the past 10 years. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Clara Lucille Spruce McDonald, second wife, Virgie Pardo McDonald, son-in-law, Roger Eames, parents, James Emmett McDonald and Ida Jones McDonald, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by 3 children, Edith Fournie, spouse Ed, of Angleton, Texas, Shirley Eames, and her late husband Roger, of Weatherford, Texas, and Danny W. McDonald, spouse Sarah, of New Braunsfels, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl McDonald, spouse Helen, Dalton McDonald, spouse, Jessie; sister-in-law, Valois McDonald; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandsons.
