James Neal

James was the son of J.K. and Eura Mae Johnson Neal. He lived in Hill County most of his life. On November 5, 1955, he married Florence Doner Upchurch in Loveview. For 28 years, he worked as Water Superintendent for the City of Hubbard, retiring in 2005. James was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Hubbard Lions Club. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, Ray and Jessie Neal, and one grandson, Jason Neal. Survivors include his wife, Florence Neal, of Penelope; five children, Tommy Neal and wife, Linda, of Hillsboro, Benny Neal and wife, Linda, of Penelope, Loyd Neal and wife, Lisa, of Joshua, Ethel Jones and husband, David, of Malone, and Sarah Deramee and husband, Tony, of Shreveport, LA; two brothers, Johnny Neal of Woodbury and David Neal of Hillsboro; two sisters, Geneva Duran of Covington and Clara Jo Ashby of Everman; nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two more on the way.
