James Robinson, Sr

James A. Robinson, Sr. 76 of Whitney passed away on September 28, 2011.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

James was born on May 9, 1935 in Dequeen, Arkansas, the son of the late James and Lizzie Bell (Stone) Robinson. He served his country in the United States Army and had worked as an mechanic on automobiles.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Robinson on February 24, 2006; 4 brothers, Albert, George, Charles and Franklin Robinson; 5 sisters, Alta Carter, Audrey Malone, Margaret Wicker, Mary Moore and Katie Hurst.

Survivors include his children, Doris Ann Collins of McCloud, OK, James Robinson, Jr. of Pensacola, FL, and Becky Burnett of Whitney; brother, Robert Robinson of Wayne, OK; sister, Patricia Robinson of Ardmore, OK; 8 grandchildren, Jessica, Wendell, April, Bryan, Amanda, Donald, Jerry and Shane; 9 great grandchildren, Amber, Alisha, Stetson, Autum, Danielle, Kimberly, Kaylee, Kaiden and Shelby.
