James Sanders


James Sanders, 70 of Lakeside Village near Morgan, Texas passed away on March 26, 2012.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney, Texas with Rev. Brian Crain officiating. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Friday at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas.

James was born on March 19, 1942 in Dill City, Oklahoma to Colnel Dewey and Walcie Eithel (Hynes) Sanders. He grew up in Portales, New Mexico. On August 15, 1964, he married the love of his life the girl next door, Bonnie Bogart. He worked 25 years for the Roosevelt County Rural Electric Co. in New Mexico and then operated his own towing business with his wife, Bonnie. James served his country in the National Guard for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elton Sanders; sister-in-law, Boby Sanders and brother-in-law, Ken Wolford.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of Lakeside Village; children, John Sanders and wife, Cindy of Robinson, Ron Sanders and wife, Teresa of Portales, New Mexico, Laura Gray and husband, Jason of Lakeside Village; brother, Earl Sanders and wife Karen, of Portales, New Mexico; sister, Betty Wolford of O’Fallon, IL.; grandchildren, Tammy Wood, Jessica Hollingsworth and husband, Raven, Zack Sanders, Jadon Gray, Jaron Gray, Lael Gray, Jeriah Gray, Janny Summers and Taryn Wood.
