Jane (Curbo) Turner

Jane Turner, 76, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, January 18, 2021, at River Point of Kerrville.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro with Mr. Bruce Martin officiating.  Jane will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.  Face masks and social distancing are required.  Funeral services will be live streamed via Marshall & Marshall’s Facebook page.

Jane was born March 11, 1944, in Hillsboro to Willie Jim and Della Mae (Minix) Curbo.  After graduating from Hillsboro High School, she went on to attend Navarro Junior College in Corsicana.  She later attended Hillcrest School of Nursing where she attained her RN license. Jane went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree from UT at Arlington.  Jane went to work at Grant Buie Hospital in Hillsboro.  She worked for the doctors for several years, before being offered a job as Administrator at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro.  She would remain there for 36 years, retiring in 2015.  Jane loved all her jobs and the people she worked with.

On May 13, 1966, Jane was united in marriage to Jerry Turner.  He preceded her in death on May 2, 2011.

Jane loved to travel and shop.  She was a member of College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro.  Jane was loved and respected by all that knew her.

Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include Muffin, her constant companion; brother, Jim Ed Curbo and wife, Linda, of Whitney; nephew, Brody and wife, Missy, of Kerrville; aunt, Betty Curbo of Kaufman; special lady, Patsy Dumas, who was raised by the family, of Burleson; best friend, Bobby Rape of Hillsboro; and numerous cousins.
