Janet Westbye Jorgensen

Janet Marie Westbye Jorgensen, age 82, of Madison, WI, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Senior Care of Windcrest, San Antonio, TX, after a long battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 11:00 - 12:30 p.m., on Monday, June 15, 2015, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, TX. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney.

She will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the funeral home.

Janet was born on January 4, 1933 in Madison, WI, the daughter of the late Edward Westbye and Dolor Meyer. She was a stay-at-home mom and loved crafting, dancing, puzzles (the more pieces the better), shopping at flea markets finding those special items and meeting new people. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Jorgensen and her second husband, Bill Lehtola.

Survivors include her daughters, Dolor Nendza and spouse Andy, of Wyoming; Cheryl Meyer-Smith and significant other Arthur, of Wisconsin; Sandra Stahl of Texas; Teresa Burdick and significant other Tony, of Wisconsin; Michelle Lehtola-Johnson and spouse Paul, of Wisconsin; her son, Edward Jorgensen and spouse Karen of Texas; 23 grandchildren, Dan Nendza, Kate Pelzer, Karina Stanchik, Ben Nendza, Molly Calhoun, Megan Nendza, Emily Nendza, John Nendza, Roy Nendza, Jared Jorgensen, Michael Jorgensen, Natasha Wells, Angie Tomlin, Joshua Smith, Brandon Smith, Jason Smith, Jon Hurt, Jamie Hurt, Kevin Hurt, Lori Taylor-Marlow, Jennifer Graffin, Amy Schulz, Michael Johnson; and many great-grandchildren.
