Janet Wright

Janet W. Wright, 61, of Whitney passed away on February 13, 2011.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Sneed Funeral Chapel at 201 E. 3rd St. in Lampasas.

Janet was born on April 19, 1949 in Austin; the daughter of the late Lance and Mary Beth (Fitzpatrick) Walker. She moved to Lampasas as a small child and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1967. She also attended Texas A&M Univeristy. She lived in Florida, Georgia and California before returning to Texas.

On May 5, 1989 she married Sam Wright in Elko, Nevada. She was self employed in furniture and linen sales.

Survivors include her husband Sam of Whitney; son, Clay Powers and wife Kendra of Austin; brother, Johnny Walker and wife Lucy of Lampasas; nephew, Sam Walker; niece, Whitney Walker and best friend, Sue Alice Patterson of Laguna Park.
