Jan was born on July 7, 1938 in Arlington, Texas to her parents, Jesse Wheeler and Alice (Pendergrass) Wheeler.

Jan was a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother who loved and was loved by everyone. She always smiled and never said an unkind word about anyone.  She will be missed by all.
Jan attended Mary Hardin-Baylor University as a voice major and was the first freshman ever privileged to sing in the school’s renowned Choral Ensemble.
After spending many years as a stay-at-home mom, Jan undertook a career in data processing.  Starting as a programmer, Jan quickly advanced through the ranks to become the Information Technology Director at several different companies.  Her final position was as an International Software Consultant traveling all over the world managing the implementation of sophisticated integrated software systems.
In 1991 Jan and Brett were married and spent an incredible 32 years together, ultimately retiring to White Bluff where she became an avid golfer, bridge and 42 player and pursued her love of music by singing in the White Bluff Chapel choir.
Jan was a sweet and loving person who will be missed and be remembered by everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing her.
