Janie McCauley, 79, of Tomball died Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Tomball Regional Hospital. Janie was born February 3, 1931 in Hillsboro the daughter of Archie Wayne and Thelma Basham Fowler. She grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School. After graduating from high school, she married Bob McCauley on November 24, 1948 following his return from WWII. They lived in many places throughout the state, but spent most of their time in Houston before moving to Arlington. Following the death of her husband on February 20, 1982, she moved to Seguin. She loved to dance, play bridge, and shop. Janie had a special group of friends whom she enjoyed doing many things with. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Seguin. Also preceding her in death were her parents ;daughter, Kandice Ann Clayton, and brother, Jay Wayne Fowler. Survivors include her two daughters, Kathye McCauley of Granite Shoals and Kimberly McCauley of Houston; three grandchildren, Carrie Clayton of San Antonio, Kellie Clayton of Kyle, and Kyle Krupka of Houston; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
