Jean Earl

Jean B. Earl, age 91,of Whitney, passed away at her residence on April 1, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. April 6, 2019 at Whitney Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney from 10:00 - Noon prior to the service on Saturday.

Jean was born in Hillsboro to Earnest and Artlissa (Pugh) Seay on January 2, 1928. On June 15, 1947, she married Ralph Earl in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death in January of 1988.

In her younger years, she was very active in the church, working in the church nursery every Sunday for many years. She also worked at three different bakeries and had her own bakery here for a while. She also worked as a dietary aide for the Lake Whitney Medical Center.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Gail Curry, Muriel Seay, Doris Cammack, and Joyce Bankston; and an infant brother, Clyde Nathaniel.

Survivors include her son, Paul Earl; daughters, Elaine Janota, and Rose Willett and husband, James; granddaughters, Christy Williams and husband, Aaron and Sara Rico and husband, Jose; grandsons, Jesse Craig and wife, Sherri and Aaron Earl; five great grandchildren, two great- great- grandchildren and a niece, Hazel Glassock.
