Jean Fullerton

Jean Fullerton, 76, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, May 29, 2015, at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Michael Nemec officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Jean was born August 17, 1938 in Malone to Gus and Annie Lydia (Adler) Scheu. She attended Salem Lutheran Church School through the 8th grade and then Bynum High School. She graduated from Penelope High School. On November 28, 1959, Jean was united in marriage to Mack Fullerton, Jr. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Hillsboro. For 18 years, she worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Buddy Patterson and later went to work in the insurance department at Family Diagnostic Medical Center for over 15 years. Jean loved to bake and cook and was especially great at making spaghetti. She also loved to camp. A member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, she enjoyed working with the youth group there.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Erwin Scheu.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Mack Fullerton, Jr. of Hillsboro; two daughters, Teresa Diaz and husband, Raymond, of Stockdale and Amy Cox of Hillsboro; two sisters, Ruth Hendley of Hewitt and Dorothy Whitehead and husband, M. J., of Bellmead; seven grandchildren, Christopher Lenart and wife, Kasey, and soon to be born great-granddaughter, Ella Jean Lenart, of Robinson, Matt Lenart of Waco, Patrick Lenart of Mt. Calm, Cutter Ainsworth of Stockdale, and Aaron Fullerton, Rachal Cox, and Brian Cox, all of Hillsboro; honorary grandson, Caleb Cox of Bynum; two sisters-in-law, Laverne Fullerton of Round Rock and Janie Fullerton of Waco; and a number of nieces and nephews.
