Jean O'Brien

Jean Hurley O'Brien, 79, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Jean was born December 25, 1925 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the daughter of William Sylvester Hurley and Ethel Hooton. For the past three years she was a resident of Hillsboro and a former resident of Whitney for almost 30 years. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, a housewife, and worked in the school cafeteria at Whitney ISD for many years. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband of 40 years, Bennie Lee O?Brien; two sisters, Opal Shackleford and Letha Hurley Krowley; her parents; and her grandparents. Survivors include her brother, Ed Hurley of California; her daughter, Benna O?Brien Ball of Whitney; her son, Terry Lee O?Brien of San Marcos; six wonderful grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.
