Jean Scott 84, of Whitney, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. Officiating will be Billy Tom Callaway and Bobby Booth. Burial will follow at the Heath Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00- 8:00 PM on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the funeral

Jean was born on July 31, 1934 in Vaughan, Texas to the late Aldon and Mary (Jennings) McCullough. Her younger years were spent in the Hillsboro area. On January 5, 1951 she married her husband of 67 years, Billy Scott. They made Cleburne their home for 38 years, moving to Whitney in 1994. She was a member of Towash Baptist Church.
Jean loved sewing, needle work or anything to do with her hands, cooking, doing crossword puzzles and watching old episodes of Gunsmoke.



Survivors include her husband, Billy Scott of Whitney; children, Debbie Chambless and husband, Ronnie, of Cleburne, Vickie Hancock and husband, Gary of Arlington, Carolyn Taylor and husband, Jody of Ennis; brother, Glenn McCullough and wife, Annice, of Flatonia; grandchildren, Monica Wood, Michael Chambless,, Heather Ellis, Ryan Hancock, Travis Young, Heath Young, Clint Young, Kimberly O’Donnell, Leslie Taylor, Matt Taylor; great-grandchildren, Trenton Young, Korbin Taylor, Jackson Wood, Hannah O’Donnell, Mattie Ellis, Max Ellis, Cora Chambless, Addison Wood, Kalel Young, Bobby Ellis, and Emma O’Donnell.
