Jerome “Jerry” Richard Hujar, 67, of Clifton, passed away on June 2, 2019 at his residence.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on June 5, 2019 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney
Jerry was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 23, 1952, to Edward and Sophie (Tomusiak) Hujar. A combat veteran of Vietnam, he served his country in the U.S. Army as a member of the First Aviation Razorbacks squadron and his gunship number was 078 on his assault helicopter. He worked in administration for the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (Milwaukee Road) and retired after 15 years.
On October 10, 1972, he married Patricia De Wolfe. He was a loving husband. Jerry was of the Catholic faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Richard Hujar.
Survivors include his wife, Pat; nieces, Cathy Hyatt and Tina Berenholz and a nephew, Ralph Hujar; godmother, Irene Mroz, her husband, John, her son, William; and daughter, Debra Kostka.
