Jerry Barnes

Jerry was the son of John William and Hanna Ruth Smith Barnes. He grew up in Whitney and graduated from Whitney High School and Hill Junior College. After school, he moved to Dallas where he served as regional manager for Complete Tire Company. In 1988, he moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida and managed Glenn's Tire Service for 15 years before returning to Dallas in 2002. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he also enjoyed country music. Jerry served in the National Guard and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents, twin infant brothers Terry Lynn and Larry Glen Barnes, and sister, Jeanne Peacock. Survivors include: his brother, Ronald Barnes and wife, Wilma, of Nashville, TN; sister, Sharon Barker and husband, Larry, of Hillsboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
