Jerry Brown

Jerry H. Brown, 84, of Morgan, passed away on October 9, 2016, at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Bethlehem Cemetery, with Pastor Curtis McGehee officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney

Jerry was born on September 29, 1932, in Dallas, to Ernest and Lucy (Hamilton) Brown. On August 19, 1969, he married the love of his life, Virginia Raifsnider and celebrated just over 47 years before his passing.

He was a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service in Fort Worth, retiring in 1991. In his spare time, he was an artist and wood craftsman. A faithful member of Abiding Life Assebly of God Church in Whitney, he loved participating in the worship music of his church.

He also served his country in the United States Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Jason Brown; and 2 brothers, Floyd and Bobby Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Brown of Morgan; children, Bryan Brown of White Settlement; grandchildren, Avry Brown and Emmerich Brown of White Settlement; a sister, Bonnie Hardwick of Midlothian; and many other loving relatives and friends.
