Jerry Hunt

Jerry E. Hunt, 84, of Hillsboro died Thursday, December 7, 2006, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Jerry was born July 14, 1922 in Hillsboro, where he grew up, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Joe E. Hunt. On April 14, 1943 he married Marguerite Schmidt in Hillsboro. During WWII he served in the United States Air Force. They moved to Paris in the late 1950's and later moved to Greenville where they managed House Jewelry. In the summer of 1969, the couple moved to Houston, until returning to Hillsboro in the early 1980's, upon their semi-retirement. He was a member of Central Christian Church in Hillsboro, where he was a deacon and board member. Jerry enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Cowboy?s fan. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Hunt of Hillsboro; two sons, Alan Hunt and wife, Cindy, of Plano and Barry Hunt and wife, Diane, of Houston; and a grandson, Kyle Hunt of Austin.
