Major Jerry Lee Isbell, USAF Ret., 85 of Winter Park, Florida passed away Monday, May 18, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with James Hudson officiating.

He was born in Hillsboro on September 19, 1929. Jerry got his pilots license at age 17 and served 20 years as a fighter pilot with the USAF. He flew numerous combat missions in Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Isbell was the former owner of Jerry's The Model A Store in Casselberry, FL. He was a Mason, Shriner, member of the Central Florida Model A Club and the Rocket City RC Club Florida. He was also a member of the Quiet Birdmen. In 1969, Jerry retired from the Air Force and settled in Winter Park, Florida with his family.

Survivors include his children, Katharine Ann Isbell, Lee Christopher Isbell and Jerry Lynn Isbell-Hays; step-children, Mindy Whitten and COL Tim Solie, US Army; grandchildren, Lea Sarodjo, Christopher Thomas Isbell, Teddy Schuyler Isbell; as well as his extended family members, friends and many "grandpets." Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy (the mother of his children) and second wife, Carolyn.
