Jerry Mack Katenkamp

Jerry Mack Katenkamp, age 78 of Greenville, Texas passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021, in Whitney Texas. Jerry was born on February 12, 1943, in Gilmer, Texas he is the son of William Earl and Eula L. (Horne) Katenkamp.

He loved and adored his family. His sense of humor and ability to pick at you while making you feel exceptionally loved was uncanny and glorious. He enjoyed long phone calls full of laughter and silly things. He enjoyed watching the deer and wildlife from his living room windows. He always made sure to call the entire family a day prior of each of our birthdays. He wanted to be the first to tell us happy birthday. We will forever treasure his shenanigans and stories and they will be lived beyond our lifetimes. He liked all sports; however, baseball was his love. He was an All-City baseball player and moved on to play semi-pro baseball until he had to have lung surgery. He lived out his dream coaching youth baseball for several years and loved every minute of it. Our memories will always be treasured, and he will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Eula Katenkamp; his sister, Betty Carcamo; and his wife, Lynda Katenkamp.

Jerry is survived by 3 children, Sharla Adye of Whitney, Tx, Paula Horton and domestic partner, Jerry Willis of Rockwall, TX, and Terry Katenkamp; and his wife, Joy Katenkamp of Caddo Mills, TX; 7 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
