Jerry Wallace Redding, age 71, went to his heavenly home on March 24, 2025 in Fort Worth, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2025 at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney, Texas.

Jerry was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on November 16, 1953 to Wallace and Gertrude Redding. He grew up in Bishop, Texas where he helped his daddy farm. Jerry graduated from Bishop High School. Later on, he moved to Coolidge, Texas. Jerry married Martha Gant on September 22, 1984. They moved to Whitney in 2014. Jerry and Martha had a small craft business called J & M Woodwork, they went to craft shows all across Texas together. Jerry accepted Jesus as his Lord and savior at an early age, he was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Whitney, Texas. He enjoyed doing yard work at the church and attending the man's breakfast on Tuesday mornings.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; his brother, Dan; his father-in-law and mother-in-law. Bart and Wanda Gant; 3 brother-in-laws, Larry, Bill, and Wayne; and sister-in-law, Billie.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha; sister, Marilyn; sister-in-laws, Lou Ella, and Carolyn; brother-in-law, Mike and wife Carolyn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his two fur babies, Oscar and Hansel. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made out to the First Church of the Nazarene and to Fishers Christian Pre-School.
