Jesse Franklin Jr

Jesse Lee Franklin, Jr., 81, of Hillsboro died Thursday, August 23, 2007, at Kindred Southwest Hospital in Fort Worth. Jesse was born February 4, 1926 in Hillsboro, Texas the son of Jesse Lee, Sr. and Mabell Hicks Franklin. In October 1944 he married Bonnie Gillaspie in Hillsboro. For many years he lived in Dallas where he worked for Ogle Construction Company, before retiring back to Hillsboro in 1990. During World War II he served in the United States Marines. Preceding him in death were his mother, Mabell Walker, on June 8, 2007 and his father, Jesse Lee Franklin, Sr. on November 26, 1954. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Franklin of Hillsboro; son, Tom Franklin of Hillsboro; two sisters, Sandra Bell and husband, Roy, of Peoria and Eva Jo Sutherland of Irving; and two granddaughters, Taylor Franklin of Hillsboro and Stephanie Franklin Rider and husband, Skylar, of The Colony. Memorials may be made to the charity of one?s choice.
