Jesse Anthony Nuñez

Jesse Anthony Nuñez, age 42 of Whitney passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in Waco. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Jesse Motley and Levin Ainsworth officiating.

Jesse was born in Houston, Texas to Jessie and Peggy Charlene (Osborne) Nuñez. He was raised in Houston and graduated from Westbury High School in 1997. After high school he worked for an environmental company in the oil fields, he also worked in the restaurant business as a waiter for most of his life. Jesse was a contractor and was very good at it. Jesse just loved to work, and he worked very hard.

Jesse was united in marriage to Apryl Nicole (Young) Nuñez in April of 2019 in Whitney. He was an amazing guitarist, singer, and an avid fisherman. Jesse was also very adventurous and loved being outdoors. He had been part of a recovery group for several years and was an excellent motivational speaker.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Peggy Charlene Nuñez.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Apryl N. Nunez; his father, Jesse Nuñez; children, Jesse Louis Nuñez, Attiana Nuñez, Noah Hunt, Dazia Apland; in laws; Carolyn and Bobby Ray; brother-in-law, Tyler Young; sisters, Victoria Nuñez and husband Brian Bergesen, and Bernadine Adair and husband Terry; niece's Trinity Bergesen and Emily Adair; and nephew, Nicholas Adair.
