Jessie was full of life and could keep up with anyone. An excellent cook, she made the best banana and date cake and pecan pies around. She was an avid seamstress who could sew any piece of clothing that someone wanted. She also enjoyed gardening and could spend hours working in her yard. Jessie enjoyed racing her beloved green Malibu down I-35 against other cars. She was known to have a lead foot. One of her greatest pleasures was sitting around the table drinking coffee and visiting with family.

Survivors include her children, Wendell Wesley Allen and wife, Georgeann, of Grandview, Beverly Merle Horan and husband, Jack, of Deberry, and Cheryl Dianne Stewart and husband, William, of Southport, NC; two sisters, Patricia Fuller and husband, William, of Arlington, and Dorothy Fuchshuber and husband, Tom, of Abbott; six grandchildren, Stephanie Choate, Charles W.
