Jessie Roy Ince, 62 of West passed away at his residence on Oct. 31, 2008. Jessie Roy was born on Sept. 18, 1946 in Hillsboro, the son of Theodore Edwin and Virginia Dell Ivy Ince. He lived in Whitney most of his life and worked in farming and construction before spending 20 years with the City of Whitney. He served in the Army National Guard from 1965 - 1971. On April 21, 1979 he married Diane Young in Whitney. He was a avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish and was a diligent gardener. His peppers were his prize crop. He enjoyed hosting fish fries and barbeques for his family and friends. He was a member of RVOS, West Longhorn Club and the West Fair & Rodeo Assn. Preceding him in death were his father, Theodore Edwin Ince, and brother, Johnny Mack Ince. Survivors include his wife, Diane of West; mother, Virginia Ince of Whitney; son, Shelby Ince of West; brother, Jody Ince and wife, Janice of Whitney; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Edgar Young of West; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Andy and Marlene Price of West; several nephews and one niece several aunts, uncles and other extended family and a host of friends and his two dogs, Girlie and Jack.
