Biography

Jessie M. Pinckard, 90, of Fort Worth passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. Bobby Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jessie was born August 29, 1921 in Hermitage, TN to H. R. and Lona (Roddy) Pedigo. On July 3, 1974 she married R. C. Pinckard and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2005. An avid gardener, Jessie took great pride and joy in her yard and house work. She also enjoyed shopping. She was of the Church of Christ faith.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Joyce Bland; three brothers, Herman, Raymond, and Willie Pedigo; four sisters, Rosa Green, Bertha Davis, Ocia Thomas, and Mary Pedigo; and a grandson, David Bland.

Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Childs of Fort Worth; four grandsons, Brooks Kelly, Tommy Kelly, and David Engle all of Fort Worth, and Howard Bland of Phoenix, AZ; one granddaughter, Debbie Jolly of San Diego, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
