Jessie was the son of Ethel Eva Richardson and George Wilson, MD. He married Mary Sue Connolly on July 15, 1939 and she preceded him in death on June, 25, 2007. He was a 32nd degree Mason, and a U.S. Marine Veteran. He worked as a welder on the Dennison Dam and became Superintendent of highway construction for R.W. McKinney until 1950. He then moved to Snyder, Texas and started in the oil fields, retiring in 1982 from the Texaco refinery he helped build. Following his retirement he moved to Whitney where he built their home on the farm and he continued to farm until 2004 when he had a stroke. He loved farming and raising cattle. He was an active member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Whitney until his health and hearing began to fail. Survivors include Sons: Mike Wilson and wife, Tammy of Whitney, Jeff Wilson and wife, Karen of Big Spring, Grandchildren: Jerry Wilson and wife, Danielle, Jessica Jacobs, Karissa Casas and husband, John, and Joshua Wilson, Great-grandchildren:Jared Wilson, Taylor Jacobs, Hayden Jacobs, Samara Jacobs, Sarah Lynn Archer, and Ranen Wilson, and Great-Great-grandchild: Anthony Archer.
