Jesus "Chuy" Rodriguez

Jesus “Chuy” Rodriguez, 86, of Hillsboro, passed away at his residence on June 5, 2020.   Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M, Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro with Rev. Manuel Ramos officiating.   Burial will follow at Itasca Cemetery in Itasca, Texas.   Mr. Rodriguez will lie-in-state from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Monday  June 8, 2020 at the funeral home.

Jesus was born on October 13, 1933, in Creedmore, Texas to Geronimo and Elojiah Rodriguez.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jesusa Rodriguez; sons, Jesus Rodriguez, Jr., Daniel Rodriguez; sisters, Santos Cortez, Tina Botello, Phabla Maldonado, Sarah Ramos; brothers, Frank Rodriguez, Lalo Rodriguez and Manuel Rodriguez, Sr.

He is survived by  his companion, Hortensia Cadena of Itasca; sons, Richard and Maggie Rodriguez of Hutto,  John Rodriguez of Liberty Hill, Raymond Rodriguez of Austin, Rudy and Patty Rodriguez of Itasca, Abel Rodriguez of Woodbury, and Grady and Karen Rodriguez of Itasca; his daughters, Terri and Joe Muñoz of Pflugerville and Ruth Ann and Robert Martinez of Woodbury; a sister, Carmen Lopez of Austin; 32 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; plus a host of extended family and friends.
