Jewel Heath 86, of Whitney passed away Friday, February 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 9, 2015, at the Whitney Church of Christ, with Mr. Bruce Martin and Mr. Nick Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow at Heath Cemetery near Huron in Hill County. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 PM, Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Jewel was born on March 7, 1928, in Hill County to the late Oscar Lee and Millie Bell (Stewart) Scott. On October 19, 1946, she married James Billy Heath, and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2002.

Jewel worked at First National Bank of Whitney as a teller until retiring in 1994. After retirement, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking for her family, working in her yard and being outdoors. Her family was of the utmost importance to her, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jewel was a very faithful and active member of the Whitney Church of Christ and loved her church family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Larry James Heath on October 21, 1961; brother, Richard Scott; and grandson, Brian Allen on January 19, 2008.

Survivors include her two daughters, Rama Menn and husband, Gene, of Montgomery, and Sharon Allen and husband, Mike, of Whitney; sister, Mary Hoover and husband Al of Everman; 4 grandchildren, Jolie Godfrey and husband, Justin, and Heath McDonald and wife, Rebecca, all of Montgomery, Michael Menn and wife, Cassie, of Houston, and Amy Hoffman and husband, Nick, of Corsicana; 6 great-grandchildren, Kayla McDonald, Lane Godfrey, and James McDonald, all of Montgomery, Cassie Allen of Waxahachie, and River Hoffman and Hunter Hoffman of Corsicana; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Heath Cemetery Association; 2388 HCR 1212; Blum, Texas 76627.
