Jewell Grimmett

Jewell Himmel Grimmett, 93, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, February 21, 2005, at Canterbury Villa Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Jewell was born December 21, 1911 in the Midway Community, of Hill County, Texas the daughter of Richard Robert and Roena Bethney Hodge Himmel. On September 13, 1930 she married George Grimmett in HIllsboro. In 1979 they moved to Hillsboro from the Midway Community. She was a member of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, George Grimmitt, on September 13, 1985; her foster son, Emory E. Baucom; a brother, Hall Himmel; a sister, Helen Kirkpatrick; and a foster son-in-law, B. F. Kellum. Survivors include her foster daughter, Jenny ?Virginia? Kellum of Red Oak; her daughter-in-law, June Baucom of Arlington; five grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Faye Foster.
