Jim Buck was the son of Jim Box and Blanche Brown Huggins as well as the grandson of Buck Brown, the owner of the Oak Cliff Tribune. Jim Buck graduated from the University of Texas in 1958 with a degree in Mechanical Engineeering. Mr. Huggins retired in 2000 after spending many years as the owner of Huggins Printing Company. This kind and gentle man volunteered 40 years for the American Red Cross receiving the Golden Rule and Clara Barton Service Awards. In addition, Jim Buck was an avid musician, playing professionally with a Hawaiian band, the Tropical Islanders. Jim Buck is survived by his wife, Beverly of Cedar Shores; two sons: John Skidmore and wife, Kay of Los Angeles, CA. and Jim Skidmore of Sherman, Tx. Two grandsons: Matthew Buck Skidmore and Kevin Campbell Skidmore. One brother: Michael Huggins of Florida and a sister: Karen Huggins of Texas. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
