Jimmie (Gordon) Gardner

Jimmie Gardner, 85, of Covington passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, in Burleson.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Darrel Beggs officiating.  Burial will follow at Covington Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Jimmie was born March 20, 1938, to Kermit and Dimple (Davis) Gordon.  On August 9, 1957, she was united in marriage to Larry Gardner in Fairy, Texas.  She was a homemaker and a member for Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Vicki White; sister, Kay Turner; and brother-in-law, Jack Turner.

Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Larry Gardner of Covington; children, Penny Brewer and husband, Darrell, of Arlington, and Greg Gardner and wife, Colleen, of Cedar Hill; son-in-law, Kip White of Arlington; sister, Gay Barnett and husband, Rob, of Tomball; five grandchildren, Cody White, Delana Davis, Carl White, Brandon Brewer, and Gavin Gardner; and 13 great-grandchildren.
