Jimmy Johnston

Jimmy Don Johnston, 64, of Hillsboro died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at his residence. Jimmy was born October 22, 1941 in Hillsboro the son of Cone and Doris Caruthers Johnston. He graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended Hill College. On December 6, 1960 he married Dena Sessums in Hillsboro. From 1960-1964 he served in the United States Air Force. After his service in the military, he was a police officer in Hillsboro and a sheriffs deputy for Hill County. He then worked for General Dynamics in Fort Worth. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife, Dena Johnston of Hillsboro; children, Robert Dean Johnston and wife, Mary Rae, of Whitney, Dale Wayne Johnston and wife, Teresa, of Fayetteville, NC, Laura Kathleen Jordan of Waco, and Randall David Johnston and wife, Erin, of Grandview; two brothers, Gerald David Johnston of Newport News, VA and Bob Johnston of White Settlement; eight grandchildren, Justin, Lesli, Chelsea, Robbie, Clarrisa, Joshua, Ashley, and Matthew; and one great-grandchild, Haven.
