Jimmy Watkins

Jimmy Watkins, 68, of Hillsboro died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at Hill Regional Hospital. Jimmy was born January 28, 1937 in Waco, where he grew up, the son of Walter Wesley and Virginia Crosby Watkins. At the age of 17 he joined the U. S. Navy and served for four years. He then joined the U. S. Army and served for 15 years. On August 8, 1985 he married Nancy Boyd. He was an electronic technician. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Watkins of Hillsboro; ten children, Wayne Watkins of Colorado, Lisa Doucette of New York, David Watkins of San Diego, CA, Haley Watkins of Hillsboro, Matthew Watkins of Hillsboro, Jacob Watkins of Hillsboro, Daniel Watkins of Hillsboro, Jason Rice of Burleson, Jeanna Rice of Itasca, and Melanie Rice of Burleson; three sisters, Wanda Rubel of Hewitt, Ruth Rollo of Kansas, and Bobby Jean Watkins of Iowa; and eleven grandchildren.
