Jimmy Dale Wiley

Jimmy Dale Wiley, age 89, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away on June 25, 2024 at Hill Regional Hospital. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas on July 2, 2024. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., July 2, 2024 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro, Texas.

Jimmy Dale Wiley was born on January 27, 1935 in Konawa, Oklahoma to his loving parents, Emary Edward Wiley and Hattie Mearl (Howes) Wiley. Jimmy married the love of his life, Ollie Ross (Arnold) Wiley, on May 29, 1964 in Dalhart, Texas and had their only son, Richard A. Wiley. He was a veteran, serving his country in the United States Army for 2 years before being honorably discharged. Jimmy spent the next 41 years working in public schools, he taught in Aquilla and was the principal for Hillsboro Junior High for many years. He was a true man of God, he was an active and faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Texas, he taught Sunday school and served as a deacon, Jimmy served on numerous committees and volunteered for meals on wheels.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emary and Hattie Wiley; the love of his life, Ollie Wiley on June 19, 2021; brothers, Richard Wiley, Audie F. Tanner, and Ed Wiley; and sister, Betty Terry.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Richard A. Wiley and wife Tochia Anikwe; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
