Biography

Jimmy Lee Williams, 76, of Hillsboro passed away Christmas morning, December 25, 2017, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Hillcrest in Waco. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Rev. Michael Nemec of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Born August 20, 1941 in the Revier Community, Hill County, he was the son of Allston Lee and Dora Lee (Plunkett) Williams. He grew up in the Lovelace Community and Hillsboro area. In 1959, he graduated from Hillsboro High School. On June 15, 1962, Jimmy was united in marriage to Patsy Radke. Their family grew to include two sons, Terry Lee and Jimmy Todd. For 33 years, he worked as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service.

Jimmy was a quiet man who loved his family. His small family farm was a joy to him and much time was spent there with grandchildren and great-grandchildren feeding the fish, riding horses, and especially riding the golf cart. Jimmy loved horses and when he was not busy tending to the farm, he enjoyed attending 4-H Shows and horse shows with his family. He was a member of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother-in-law, Robert Novak.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Patsy Williams of Hillsboro; two sons, Terry Williams of Denton and Todd Williams and wife, Lori, of Bynum; three sisters, Geraldine Novak of Washington, D.C., Josie Herring and husband, Leonard, of Denton, and Jane Cain and husband, Larry, of Spicewood; four grandchildren, Crystal Miller and husband, Kyle, Brandon Elliott and wife, Ashley, Justin Elliott, and Bradley Williams and wife, Hollie; seven special great-grandchildren, Jax, Chase, Canon, Presley, Caroline, Easton, and Olivia; and many extended family and friends.

In lie of flowers, memorials may be made to Line Street United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 1665, Hillsboro, TX 76645 or Christ Lutheran Church, 915 Corsicana Hwy., Hillsboro, TX 76645.
