Jimsey Krieg went to her heavenly home on October 17, 2020 at the age of 91. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m.on October 23, 2020 at the Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Mr. Bruce Martin officiating.
Jimsey Nadine Krieg was born at home in Doole, Texas on February 8, 1929, to Jim and Myrtle Montgomery. She was an only child. She graduated from Melvin High School when she was 16 years old and then from Abilene Christian University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and Bible in 1949. Jimsey Montgomery returned to Melvin and was working at the hospital there when she and Earl were introduced by a mutual friend in August 1950. It was "love at first sight". They married on January 14, 1951 in Eden, Texas.
She was a devoted wife for almost 70 years. As a mother, she was the best Mom and wonderful monther-in-law to 2 children and their spouses: Phyllis Hughes and Larry Swift and Earl Jr and Kim Krieg. She was Mammaw to 5 grandchildren and their spouses (Erik and Jennie Hughes, Chad and Marci Huges, Aleisha and Michael Doupoula, Kaycee and Jeff Wysaki, and Krystal and John Leedy) and their 9 great-grandchildren (Bryce, Lexi, Ryan, Montgomery, Bennett, Tori, Levi, Lorelai, and Tia). Numerous other family members knew her as Aunt Jimsey.
She was devout Christian all her life and a member of the Whitney Church of Christ.
