Jo Buchanan

Joann Buchanan 73, of Whitney passed away on Sept. 8, 2008 in Hillsboro. She was the daughter of George Walter and Lillie May Dorety. On July 19, 1957 she married Richard Berriman Buchanan and he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2002. She was an operator for Southwestern Bell and retired in 1997 and a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Whitney. Joann was an avid animal lover especially cats and dogs. Survivors: children, Tish Brooks and husband, John of Las Vegas, Nevada, David Buchanan and wife, Bonnie of Mesquite, Linda Allen and husband, Kim of Rockwall grandchildren: Natalie Reyna and husband, Derek of Mesquite Kindell Allen of Rockwall great-grandchildren: Zoe Reyna and Anabelle Reyna both of Mesquite In lieu of flowers: Waco Humane Society
