Jo Clements

Jo Ann Clements, 76, of Abbott passed away Saturday afternoon at her residence. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. Joe Bob Boyd officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

On October 15, 1937, Jo Ann was born in Hill County to Leslie E. and Minnie Pearl (Sheffield) Goodman. She and Benny Clements were married on June 17, 1955. Benny preceded her in death on December 9, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Jo Ann was a very faithful Christian who loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with all her heart. She loved to read the Bible and study God’s word. Friends and family knew her as a kind and generous lady.

Survivors include five brothers, Benny Goodman and wife, Billie Ann, of Cleburne, Ernest Goodman and wife, Ellen, of Crowley, James Goodman and wife, Oneta, of Grandview, Bobby Goodman and wife, Shirley, of Weatherford, and Ronnie Goodman and wife, Vicki, of Whitney; two sisters, Irene Greenhill of Crowley and Linda Langdale of Abbott; and a host of nieces and nephews that dearly loved her.
