Jo Nell Davis

Jo Nell Davis, 72, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. Gene Edens officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, May 8, 2015 at the funeral home.

Jo Nell was born December 29, 1942 in Bynum to Willie Hershel and Mary Lynn (Burleson) Schronk. Growing up there, she graduated from Bynum High School in 1961. On September 3, 1964, she was united in marriage to Hershel Davis. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2005. After many years as a homemaker, Jo Nell purchased the Sears catalog store in Hillsboro and ran it for over fifteen years. She was a member of College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; infant sister, Helen Ruth Schronk; and brother, Gary Schronk.

Survivors include three brothers, Charles Schronk and wife, Virginia, of Waxahachie, Bob Schronk and wife, Gay, of Abilene, and Billy Schronk and wife, Sylvia, of Frankston; very special chosen grandson, Jose Manuel “Manuelito” Orozco; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
