Jo Rush

Jo Ann Rush, 77, of Bellmead, passed away at her residence, on Monday, November 19, 2012. Graveside services for Mrs. Rush will be on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at 2:00 PM, at Smith-Bend Coon Creek Cemetery in Bosque County. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, November 23, 2012 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Whitney, Texas.

Jo Ann was born in Fort Worth, Texas. on September 24, 1935, to the late Weldon Adair and Emma Lucille (Ashford) Ogletree. She married Thomas Wesley “Tommy” Rush on November 4, 1980. They owned and operated Rush Salvage and Carpets in Laguna Park for about 30 years. She had lived in Laguna Park since 1974 before moving to Bellmead in 2006.

She enjoyed NASCAR and traveling to all the different tracks all over the United States. Jo Ann was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Rush, on October 31, 2004; her parents; a sister, Dortha McBride and a brother Weldon Ogletree; and great-granddaughter Madison Rose Pierce.

She is survived by son Michael Bellis and wife, Sherry of Waco, Texas; granchildren Amber Martinez and husband, Drew, Bryan Bellis and wife, Kate, and Brittany Bellis Taylor and husband, Josh; great-grandchildren, Ethan Bellis, Keaton Bellis and Quinnton Pierce.
